What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a revolutionary treatment, that can offer a women a semi-permanent solution to the fuller, longer and gorgeous lash's that we desire and eliminate the need for mascara. No more panda eyes in the swimming pool or gym!

Adored by celebrities and is beauty's best kept secret for many years!

Unlike the traditional 'strip' or 'cluster lash's these lash extensions are individual single lash's that are available in different length's and weights and are adhered to your existing eyelashes one by one. You can create natural, sexy or dramatic lash's the choice is yours.

Unlike traditional false lashes they are almost weightless, feel and look completely natural. Your friends will notice but will never know!

What are they made of?

Synthetic polyester fibres shaped to mimic the look of the natural eyelash.

How are they applied?

Individually the synthetic lashes are bonded one by one to each natural lash. This is done using a special bonding agent and should only be done by a skilled and professionally trained i~lash designer. The glues used are medical grade and should not cause any irritation. The glue should never touch the skin. But in all cases a patch test is required in case on the rare occasion that you may be allergic.

How long do they last?

With proper care they will last as long as the remaining lifetime of the natural eyelash that the extension has been applied to. Natural eyelashes have a 6/8 week life-cycle. You should come for 'infill's' every 2 weeks in order to keep that gorgeous lash look.

What is the after care requirements?

Your i~lash designer will advise once your treatment is complete. As we lose some natural eyelashes every day there is usually a need for an infill treatment every 2 or 3 weeks. Generally, you should have an infill appointment when you have lost 'no more' than half the lash's. This is to keep your lashes looking full and beautiful.

Home Care is a very important part and will impact on home long they last. As an i~lash designer, I have been trained to apply lashes in the correct way and with high end quality products to ensure the longest lash life possible. Please see Caring for your lash Extensions below.

How long will my appointment take?

A full set of lashes takes approximately 2 hours. This is of course dependant on the look that you require, and how many natural lashes that you have. Re lash / Infill appointments should take approximately 1 hour for those that choose to maintain every 2 weeks.

Will the extensions damage my lashes?

If Lash extensions are applied professionally, and in the correct way you will have not damage to your own lashes. You also have the assurance that the adhesive I use is medical grade and extremely gentle. However, please me mindful of the aftercare requirements so that your lash's don't fall out. Rubbing your eyes and incorrectly removing makeup can result in a the Lashes falling out and taking a natural lash with it.

Is black the only colour?

i~lash designer extensions come in a wide range of colours, thicknesses and sizes including Black, Blue, Purple, Brown, Red, Green, Wine-Red & Blond.

In most cases Black is always used, but stunning effects can be made in using these colours to highlight colour. Highlights in the right colour can achieve stunning looks... perhaps to match an outfit, or eye colouring.

Can I wear mascara with my lash extensions?

Most clients love the fact that they do not need to apply any mascara anymore! However, if you just cannot live without mascara, I do retail special Lash extension mascara that is water based and easily removed not damaging the lashes themselves.

Will they look false or overdone?

Many clients that are new to eyelash extensions worry that they will look false. I pride myself in offering many choices in eyelash extensions and not just a one look suits all treatment. What suits one person will not suit another. Your requirements and look are all discussed during the consultation and patch test appointment that is done prior to your actual lash appointment.

Your Appointment

Please arrive at your appointment free from eye make-up if possible. It only decreases the time that I have in applying the lash's as the make-up removal time eats into your 2 hours.

Caring for your Lash Extensions...

I know that you will absolutely love your lash extensions, and want to keep them for as long as possible. The following guidelines are important to help you do this.

• Do Not get your lashes wet for 24-48 hours after application to ensure that the bond is fully set. This includes having very hot bath's / showers where steam will effect the bonding process.
• Avoid exposing your lashes to heat or steam for 24-48 hours for the same reason. So be mindful of timing when going on holidays.
• Avoid rubbing your eyes and lashes.
• Do not use and eyelash curler, these can melt and damage your lashes.
• Be gentle when cleansing the lash area.
• Do not use oil based cleansers or make up removers
• Applying your usual eye creams is fine, just be careful near the lash line.
• Normal eye make up can be worn. However be careful that you do not let any makeup migrate onto the lashes. Mineral make-up brands with no oils are recommended.
• Swimming is fine after the initial 48 hours. However excessive exposure to chlorine could weaken the adhesive bond.
• Never pick or pull at your lashes.
• If you wish to remove your lashes, this should be done only by a trained professional using professional de-bonding agents.

Prices

'Tease Me' Set - £40

This is a quicker treatment and is a great way to add that extra special look for parties, weddings and special occasions. The outer eye corner is enhanced using a variety of lash designs. Normally customers would like lashes longer and thicker in this area in order to create an outer 'flick', resulting in a wider and more open eye look. Suitable for those not brave enough to go for the full set yet. A treatment time of an hour is required for a great result.

'Wow Me' Set - £70.

This is a very relaxing treatment in which lash's are applied whilst your are laid down withyour eye constantly shut. A variety of lash lengths, thickness's and shape are available to suityour needs. The lash design is discussed in your consultation. Typically you will have approximately 50 to 60 lashes in each eye, creating that wow factor. Really that is the first word that most of my customers say! Wow! The treatment time is 2 hours.

Re-lash / Infills

Tidy existing lashes, remove any loose lashes and apply new ones to fill the gaps.

Re-lash with no more than half missing - £45

Speed Fill - Half Hour - £20 if you only need a quick time saving infill.

Lash Package

Includes 'Wow Me' Set of Lashes, first 1 hour infill and a glossy black lash sealer - £120

Express Cluster Lash - Full Set - £30

For a quicker but an alternative to the semi-permanent lashes as described above. These Cluster lashes are a short term solution but gives a similar effect to a full set of lash extensions. Certainly fantastic for a weekend, or special occasion. Lasts up 10 days. Aftercare as above still applies, and removal if needed should be done by a professional. Full set of Lash's is applied in 30 minutes.

A deposit of £20 is required to confirm all bookings and will be taken from you during your consultation which is required up to 48 hrs to the actual treatment. This deposit is then redeemed against the treatment price.
