Gel Polish - The next generation in Natural Nail Manicures

At Essential Beauty I strive to provide the best nail services and products to all my customers. It is important that you leave me feeling impressed and happy with the work that I create for you.

That said I will always ensure that the products that I use are also up to par with my work ethic, and I make sure that I introduce them for both performance and quality.

Gel Polish is the next thing in natural nail care. For years the industry has been striving to supply a colour polish solution that stands up to the test of time for all natural nail customers. To date customers have had to go for the nail enhancement gel services to achieve this.

Well not any more. The new Gel Polish service is now here and very much a growing sector of the Nail market place.

At Essential Beauty I currently offer three brands of Gel Polish.. All have been tried and tested by both me (that is a hard one) and also some of my customers.

Those Brands are

1. Artistic Colour Gloss. This is such a fantastic brand. Thin as the natural nail, it gives strength but is painted on just like polish. With many colours to choose from, this is my favourite of the Gel Polish Brands.

2. Polish Pro by NSI.Staying ever loyal to my gel brand, this revolutionary polish that is cured under a UV light. Available in many colours and my collection is growing all the time in line with my customers demands. Rockstar these too.

3. Recolution by LCN. This is a new one and proving popular. This Gel Polish has more of the qualities for the traditional 'gel', giving assistance and strength where the nail needs it. Still a natural nail product, but gives that extra dimension. Available in French and clear if you just need a nail overlay.

Gel Polish promise pure colour, quality and longevity, that is high gloss, smudge free, and chip free. Importantly, they do not damage the natural nail in anyway. Only a light buffing is required to assist in the bonding process.

Removal is easy and quick, with no tell tale signs left behind. You can have a new colour manicure every two to three weeks. How exciting is that. Something that lasts longer than a regular manicure.

Please note that whilst this product indicates that it is a 'gel' product it is only for natural nails and cannot be used to enhance your own nails. They can be used to assist the growth and nurturing of your own nails but you cannot extend with these products.

If you need your own nails extended or assistance needed in anyway, then you may wish to go down the hard gel route, and have a gel polish overlaid aswell. Please see the Nail enhancement section to this site.

Just a few questions that have been asked recently.

1. What is a Gel Polish?
   All three are a revolutionary light cured nail polish and forms part of the gel family. These products produce a manicure that is chip free, smudge free, high gloss and lasts up to 2 to 3 weeks.
2. Are they formula "3-Free"?
   All do not include Formaldehyde, Toluene or DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate). Which you would now come to expect on all natural nail products now.
3. Is there any odour to Gel Polish?
   A slight odour may be noticeable upon application but not as strong as nail polish. After curing in the lamp, residual odour does not remain.
4. Does the Gel Polish removal damage the natural nail?
   The removal of both products does NOT damage the natural nail, nor does it leave and residual product.
5. How long does Gel Polish last for?
   It is recommended that you adhere to a 14 day re-application appointment, as the adhesion will increase if worn past this point, making the removal process a little longer. With darker colours the growth line is more noticable so it is down to the individual and is more necessary to some. I have had customers wear French for 3 weeks.
6. Will soaps or other personal grooming products affect the wearability of the Gel Polish?
   The Gel Polish ranges were developed and tested to withstand the rigours of daily wear. Although cleaning products can be known to deteriorate them. Remember that these are Soak off products, and are therefore porous so can absorb liquids.
7. Can Gel Polish's be used over my enhancements (Liquid & Powder and Gel)?
   Yes they can be used over Gel or Acrylic? Although I would suggest this not necessary. There are hard gel permanent colours available as a Gel enhancement application.
8. Can I remove my own Gel Polish?
   I would not suggest it, although if it is necessary please seek guidance from a trained professional. But I would always state that to ensure the health of the natural nail that all the Gel Polish range is a professional only service and only trained Nail Professionals should apply and remove it.
